Dolly Parton puts a Tennessee twist and twang on a classic Dickens tale...
Lead Image: Jesse Faatz
A newcomer for London's Christmas festivities, Dolly Parton's Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol will come to Southbank Centre this December.
The show features an original score written by the musical legend herself (although, alas, she doesn't perform any songs herself) and the classic Christmas tale is relocated to the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee.
Ebenezer Scrooge is a miserable owner of a mining company town, who is can not see the joy of Christmas through his greed.
Yet, just like in the original, this miser is visited by three Christmas ghosts who set about rearranging his moral compass for the better.
The show is suitable for children aged eight and older.
Dolly Parton's Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol runs from December 8, 2022 to January 8, 2023 at the Southbank Centre. Tickets on sale now.
Times: 2.30pm, 3pm, 7.30pm
Tickets: from £18.50
Address: Queen Elizabeth Hall Southbank Centre, Belvedere Road, London SE1 8XX
