Winnie the Pooh, the legend who once said "I am short, fat, and proud of that", is coming to London...

Let's face it: Winnie the Pooh is one of the greatest role models for humanity there ever was.

He doesn't bother with pants let alone fashion trends. He is content with the simple life and enjoys small pleasures. He gives zero cares about maintaining a well balanced diet or about watching his weight.

Coining pearls such as "You're braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think", he can validate you just as well as any drunk gaggle of girlfriends or a Lizzo song can, and shows us that you don't have to be the brightest spark in the book to be wise or a kind and loyal friend.

Winnie the Pooh teaches us that you can be you, in all of your half-naked run-of-the-mill glory, and still be special; cherished and dear to your friends and adored by squillions of people around the globe.

Which is why, no doubt, many of us will be pleased to hear that the Winnie the Pooh stage show will come to London next year.

UK's premiere of Disney's WINNIE THE POOH is set to arrive in the capital come spring 2023.

Set in the Hundred Acre Wood, the stage adaption sees Winnie the Pooh and Christopher Robin come together with their best friends Piglet, Eeyore, Kanga, Roo, Rabbit, Owl and Tigger.

It brings the magical world to life with life-sized puppetry, created by Jonathan Rockefeller - the guy who produced the puppetry for The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show and Paddington Gets in a Jam.

WINNIE THE POOH features music by the award-winning Sherman Brothers who wrote the film scores for many family classics including the Winnie the Pooh films and joyous nonsense Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.

There's additional music by Pooh creator A.A. Milne too.

The stage show opened in New York in 2021 where it broke theatre box office records for the largest advance.

Obviously, it was also well received, because again, let's face it, criticizing Pooh is like arguing the world is flat - only a lunatic would do it.

Dates, venues and ticket prices are still to be announced but sign up to winniethepoohshow.co.uk to stay up to date.
