All aboard the Backyard Cinema train for flicks and fun...
Lead Image: Backyard Cinema
Just when we begin to lament the end of the outdoor cinema season, Backyard Cinema in Wandsworth opens up for autumn.
Opening for a short run, from October 1 to November 15, Backyard Cinema is more than just popcorn and your favourite flick.
Conjuring up the grandeur and romanticism of 1920s travel, Backyard Cinema is going with a train theme, which starts at the "platform" where you collect your tickets to begin your "mystical train journey towards the top of the world".
In actual fact, you remain in Wandsworth in a big top tent dressed in twinkling lights and snow topped trees, where you can cosy up into a giant bean bag while you sip on cocktails and get stuck into cinema treats.
You can just board the train to see the film, however in the space there's a vintage-styled bar, and the venue will host live music, comedy and drag.
Screen times and details are yet to be released but generally they run at 12pm, 4pm and 8pm.
Ticket prices start from £20/£10 adult/child and are on sale from Friday, September 2 at 10am.
Address: Backyard Cinema, 2-4 Armoury Way, Wandsworth Town, SW18 1SH
