The Mayfair and Bloomsbury restaurants join the some of the best restaurants in London...

Two London restaurants have been recently added to the UK's Michelin guide.

Both relative newcomers to London's restaurant scene, Apricity in Mayfair and Bloomsbury's Plaza Khao Gaeng join the accoladed guide of top notch restaurants and places to eat.

Opened May this year by Chef Patron Chantelle Nicholson, Apricity champions micro-seasonal eating and veg-forward dishes, and probably a contender for a Green Star at some stage.

The kitchen works with small-scale farmers and growers as well as with foraged ingredients and has a zero-waste approach to cooking.

The New Zealand born chef also owned the now closed Tredwells in Covent Garden, which received a green Michelin star in 2021, as well as Hackney pop-up All's Well.

Found in Bloomsbury's Arcade Food Hall, southern Thai restaurant Plaza Khao Gaeng prepares flavoursome curries, fragrant stir-fries and authentic Thai flavours.

While the flavours are faithfully Thai, chef Luke Farrell grows many of the ingredients himself in a custom, topical greenhouse in Dorset.

It's part of the JKS restaurant group which BAO, Bib Gourmand Berenjak, Kricket and Hoppers are also part of, so it keeps good company.

The restaurants are two of seven new additions to the guide from around the UK that join the likes of 1890 by Gordon Ramsay, Lisboeta and Up Stairs at the George.
