1 Greenwich & Docklands International Festival, Greenwich Peninsula
This free outdoor family friendly festival kicks off this week, featuring a cacophony of immersive art installations, outdoor theatre, circus and dance performances for all to get involved in. Programme highlights include a large-scale projection on the facade of the Old Royal Naval College by Kyiv-based artists and SPARK, an environmentally-friendly light performance based on fireflies. Also, don't worry if you miss it this week, it's running until September 11.

2 Oysters & Pet Nat Party at Crispin, Soho
Marking its first birthday, natural wine bar and restaurant Crispin in Soho are throwing an oysters and pet nat (natural fizz) party on Thursday, August 25. All day, the compact Kingly Street venue will be offering up freshly shucked oysters for £2.50 a pop, along with glasses of the natural fizz for £5. No need to book, but the joint is small, so get in early if not calling ahead.

3 Barbican Outdoor Cinema
Pink Floyd Live at Pompeii, a giant killer moth, Beyoncé's inspiration for the Lemonade film clip and a Studio Ghibli animation are just some of the arthouse wonders you can catch at Barbican's outdoor cinema pop up. For one week only, you can dine out on the Barbican's brutalist splendor while watching a flick you'd be hard pressed to find elsewhere. There's also food vendors on hand, that are as equally satisfying as the pop up is.

4 Malin de Silva Supper Club at Chelsea Physic Garden
Malin de Silva, head chef at Soho Sri Lankan restaurant Paradise, and MasterChef the Professionals 2019 semi-finalist, will create a feast for you to enjoy in the magical grounds of London's oldest botanical gardens. Dine out on a four-course tasting menu and an exquisite dining setting under the stars - there's even the opportunity to meet Malin on the nights. Vegan and vegetarian option available.

5 Jurassic World: The Exhibition, Royal Docks
For dinosaur lovers and fans of the blockbuster film series, this is your chance to rub shoulders with your most loved and feared prehistoric reptile. Jurassic World: The Exhibition opens this week so you can ride the glorious Elizabeth line to encounter prehistoric animals, including a life-sized Velociraptor, Brachiosaurus and T-Rex, which are also wandering around.
