1 Wunderbar at Pergola Paddington

Grab your free welcome schnapps and settle in at this right ol' knees up in west London. There's live music from a traditional oompah band playing covers, classics and Oktoberfest favourites, and a DJ will keep the fun going into the night. 3 The Bermondsey Bierkeller, London Bridge
This Oktoberfest bash sprawls across two-months and has live Oompah bands and DJs every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. Tuck into the likes of bratwurst, pretzels and German-inspired street food along side your steins of German beer. You can also play interactive darts, pool, foosball and ping-pong.

4 The Understudy, National Theatre, South Bank
A more subdued Oktoberfest experience and perhaps one with less cultural cliches, KERB takes over The Understudy at the National Theatre. On offer, you've got German -style beers made from local breweries, Gipsy Hill, Howling Hops, Anspach and Hopbday. Lucky's Hot Chicken serves up southern fired chicken sandos.

5 Cadogan Arms October Beer Festival, Chelsea
For six days, the Chelsea pub will put on 20 new brews and five cask ales in celebration of the German festival. Tickets include six half pints, a goodie bag to take home and a bar snack platter with black pudding scotch egg and Cornish boneless crispy lamb ribs. There's also cans to take home too.

6 Blackhorse Beer Mile, Walthamstow
The six taprooms along Blackhorse Lane are getting into the Oktoberfest spirit with steins of beers, German food specials, live bands and DJs for a one day bash. Big Penny Social (formerly Truman's Social Club), Exhale Brewing, Wild Card Brewery, Hackney Brewery, Beeblefish Brewing and Signature Brew are all getting involved, and for those wanting to mix their drinks, Renegade Urban Winery - Beer Mile's newest resident - will cook up a BBQ feast.

7 German Kraft Brewery, Mayfair
Drink steins in the 18th century St Mark's Church right in the heart of Mayfair. Part of Mercato Mayfair, there's also gin from the Jim and Tonic Distillery. There's a German sausages, pretzels and sharing plates, along with six types of German-style craft beers served by the stein, as well as Oompah music and a Schlager playlist. The brewery will also have additional Oktoberfest parties at it's Elephant & Castle outpost (Oct 7-9). Family friendly.
