Covent Garden has announced its Christmas programme, and it's set to be bigger than ever.

It comes with restaurant happenings, cultural events, shopping deals and festive embellishments galore.

The festive centrepiece, a huge 60ft Christmas tree returns, glammed up with 30,000 lights. Switch on is on Nov 8.

Another 115,000 lights sparkling across the estate throughout the festive season, an mistletoe toe for cheeky kisses, mirror balls, and snowball inspired baubles will decorate the Market Building.

Snow will return from December 1 to December 31, with daily flurries on the hour from midday to 9pm.

New for this festive season, a traditionally decorated, reconditioned 1884 sleigh carriage will sit at the South Hall of the Market Building, ready for photo opportunities. Hand painted by artist, James Gemmill, it's worth a look.

Dolce&Gabbana takeover the Piazza with an immersive pop-up filled with food, trainers, clothes and gift ideas.

Jaeger-LeCoultre, UGG, L’or and Lounge Underwear will also host pop-ups.

Foodwise, the Winter Warmer Mulled Wine Festival returns (Nov 8-20) with hot toddies, mulled wine and hot chocolate. The Christmas Sandwich Festival also returns (Dec 3-10) with a spread of festive sangas.

Covent Garden favourites, Petersham Nurseries, The Ivy Market Grill, Ave Mario, NoMad Hotel, Mrs Riot, Frenchie will put on festive offers too.

The Nutcracker ballet will be on at the Royal Opera House, while the cast from ELF the musical will hold live performances on the Piazza, as will the London International Gospel Choir.

There will also be a Gift For Good charity auction (Nov 24-27) to raise funds for charity Only A Pavement Away, which works with Crisis to end homelessness.
