2 Bunny Hunt at Hampton Court Palace
Suitable for families with children aged three to 12 years-old, the Lindt gold bunny trail is back, providing an ideal opportunity for families to run amok around the 60 acre ground on the quests to find the hidden bunny statues. In order to find the bunnies, you'll have to solve puzzles and at the end of the trail, you'll be rewarded with a delicious Lindt chocolate bunny to eat.

3 Easter Baking Class at Sauce by The Langham, Fitzrovia
The luxury West End hotel's acclaimed cooking school is hosting an Easter baking class for children which looks fun and delicious. Ideal for little foodies aged between four and 10, Sauce by The Langham's Kids Easter Baking Class will utilise your offspring's culinary and creative skills in a fun and practical morning class. Children will make chocolate chicks nests, carrot cakes, iced financiers and caramel Easter shortbread, which they can then, naturally, enjoy at the end of the session.

4 Eat Easter Treats
Decadent Easter treats are aplenty, the hardest decision being just how many to sample. Eataly London in Liverpool Street Station have a selection of traditional Italian Easter treats, from a type of panettone to luxurious chocolate eggs, including a Baci Egg. Soho's Gelupo have partnered with Joelene bakery to create gelato stuffed hot cross buns and St John’s Wood deli Panzer’s will make their own hot cross buns fresh this year, available for eat in or take away. For something super indulgent, Donutelier, the luxury doughnut shop in Covent Garden have a trifecta of Easter specials, embellished with Chantilly cream, pistachio and hazelnut whips and pure extravagance.
5 Puppet Making Workshops at Little Angel Theatre, Angel
The north London children’s theatre is putting on a series of workshops in which kids can make unicorn and Easter animals puppets, which will then star in its own story as children bring the puppet to life and explore it’s imaginary world. For a more involved experience, the theatre will also host Fun Days, which are a full day of puppet-making and storytelling, in which kids can learn tips on how to bring their creations to life.

6 Wild Goose chase at Leadenhall Market, City
The central market will bring back The Great Leadenhall Market Wild Goose Chase, with Old Tom’s Golden Egg as a trophy and a £500 prize to win, which can be spent at a market outlet of choice. Open to all ages, the market as created 100 challenges for 20 teams to take part in throughout April. The goose chase is inspired by the original 1920s treasure hunts put on by The Bright Young Things who were a team of party loving artists and socialites who set about creating London-wide treasure hunts and pranks. 7 Big Penny Social’s Kids Easter Holiday, Walthamstow
The House of Bounce sets up shop at the Blackhorse Beer Mile boozer these holidays, and the collection of inflatables is so large it will take over the huge brewery and includes an enormous pirate assault course to get silly on. On Easter Sunday, Big Penny Social will host a family disco and egg hunt, that comes with bubbles, interactive games, prizes and singalongs. You could also just let the kids roam free range in the large beer garden as you tuck into a roast or a sourdough pizza.

8 Battersea spring festival, Battersea Power Station
Two weeks of springtime family fun descends onto Battersea Power Station with a mix of workshops and outdoor games for children of all ages can get amongst. Free activities include a giant flower trail which comes with facts on 10 different flowers and a scratch card, a mobile farm with alpacas, sheep and goats, and face-painting. There’s also a wriggle and squiggle floor playground which invites you to shake it all about and everyone’s favourite bug, Colin The Caterpillar will stop by to say hello too. Children can also learn how to grow their own lettuce, play on rides and participate in a mini sports day.

9 Frameless’ Art Workshops
The UK’s largest permanent digital immersive art experience, Frameless, will host art workshops during the Easter holidays for children aged 4-11 years old. Turning its fifth gallery into an art studio for the holidays, drop in art workshops will run daily with the help from arts and crafts company The Creation Station. Inclusive for all abilities, children can colour and draw, taking inspiration from Frameless’ immersive artworks, that include works by Cezanne, Dali, Kandinsky and Klimt.

10 The Postal Museum's Tunnel Walks, Clerkenwell
Explore the really, really old Mail Rail tunnels which dates back 100 years. On foot, explore tunnels, tracks and platforms which aren't accessible on the Mail Ride ride, and catch up on all the goss from back in the day about how the network was built and maintained. Suitable for people older than 12, and you'll be wearing hi vis and hard hat.

11 Horniman Museum and Garden’s Spring Fair
This year’s fair will be compared by comedian Jasmin Gleeson, who will also host the Easter bonnet parade. There’s plenty of family and Easter fun to be had, including badge-making, Lindy hop workshop, giant Jenga, face-painting, live music and spring trail where you follow clues to find flags hidden across the gardens to win a prize – there’s lots of fun stuff. A wide range of food stalls will keep the hunger at bay.

12 Tower Bridge Coronation Crafting

13 Phantom Peak’s Platyegg Hunt, Surrey Quays
Not only has Phantom Peak had a makeover in recent times, the now bigger (30,000 sq ft) fictional town is hosting an Easter egg hunt with a difference. In The Platyegg Hunt, families are tasked going round the old town, complete with 25 live-action characters to solving riddles and clues to uncover letters that will eventually form a word – those who solve the puzzle win a prize.

14 Now Play This at Somerset House
As part of the London Games Festival, Now Play This, a hands-on exhibition, showcases the latest in independent and experimental game design from around the world. This year’s theme is based on love, in its many iterations, through games, installations and workshops – you can discover a game played from the perspective of a cat tasked with cheering up its owner and a documentary captured through 3D scanning.

15 BBC Earth Experience, Earl's Court
Another immersive experience for London, and one that features Sir David Attenborough and footage – included extended scenes – from the magnificent Seven Worlds, One Planet series. Footage from the epic series is projected across multiple multi-angle screens so visitors immerse themselves in the natural world, while Attenborough’s narration guides guests through the seven continents and around the marvellous creatures that live there. Breakout areas offer deep dives into specific pockets of the natural world, including getting up close to (digital) creepy crawlies.

16 Winnie The Pooh The Musical, Hammersmith
A bear and world that needs no introduction, Winne The Pooh The Musical is full of life size puppets, Grammy award-winning songs from the original animated features, plus some new musical arrangements. 17 London Games Festival, Central London
The annual gamer’s heaven returns to central London, for all things games. Discover new games and gaming initiatives and opportunities to network with like, game-loving minds. Programme highlights include the Stand Up for GamesAid, featuring Pete Firman, Imran Yusuf and Laura Smyth (Monday, April 3; 7pm), Now Play This (Saturday, April 1; 10am) which is an interactive showcase of experimental game design, and the Trafalgar Square Exhibition on Wednesday April 5, from 10am.
