7 ways to treat Dad in south east London this Father’s Day, 19 June 2016, from climbing over the O2 with serial adventurer James Ketchell to a lingering Sunday lunch in Blackheath, a back massage in Greenwich or even a medieval joust in Eltham…

1 Climb the O2 with James Ketchell
Serial adventurer James Ketchell gives dads a walk on the wild side at Up at The O2 this Father’s day. James will be on hand for one day only on Sunday 19 June, welcoming visitors and sharing his stories against a 360-degree backdrop of London’s skyline. Despite being told he would never walk normally again after a motorcycle accident in 2014, James became the first and only person to have rowed the Atlantic Ocean, successfully summited Mount Everest and cycled 18,000 miles around the world. Up at The O2’s guided expeditions offer the chance to see the city in a whole new way. The 90-minute experience begins at Base Camp, where participants are kitted out in jumpsuits, shoes and safety harnesses before being guided in groups along the walkway. Tickets on Father Day are £35 and are in short supply, so book quickly!
