And as the name suggests, Duck + Champagne will also serve that fine French fizz...

Demonstrating you can never have too much of a good thing, Duck + Champagne has opened in Chelsea.

Doing what it says on the tin, the restaurant has an all-duck and all-champagne menu.

Created by Lollipop Hospitality Group in partnership with Claire Hodgson (ex-Ottolenghi, Nopi & The Spotted Pig in NYC) and Steve Huggett (ex-La Trompette & The Square), will set up residence at King's Road institution Chelsea Funhouse from today, Tuesday, September 13.

On the menu, you've got small and big plates of the likes of duck charcuterie with pickles, chutney, bread, burrata and radicchio salad with hazelnut pesto; duck bao bun; duck leg cassoulet - with sausage, bacon lardons flageolet beans and herb pistou; two duck burgers, one French one English and Vietnamese duck and rice noodle salad.

There's a vegan duck Vietnamese salad and a aubergine shawarma for the non-duck eaters too.

Perhaps the best feature about the menu is that sides come in all you can eat quantities, so eat your fill of fries with Szechuan salt and pepper and roasted garlic mayo; bloody Mary heritage tomato salad and grilled flat bread with butterbean mash and dukkah.

The restaurant's short list of rotating Champagnes focus on independent small batch producers and lesser known styles of bubbles, such as Brut Nature and Demi-Sec.

Dishes and fizz come as part of a range of set menus, starting from £27.
