Yoga instructors Mandy Jhamat and Leo Lourdes, the team behind yoga school Yogasphere are launching yoga lessons at the top of The Shard from June 2014

What could be more relaxing than practicing yoga 800ft above London, with 360 degree views of the capital’s skyline? New for this year, the duo behind Yogasphere Mandy Jhamat and Leo Lourdes are taking their yoga teaching to new heights with yoga at The Shard.

Beginning Saturday 7th June, the celebrated yoga innovators will deliver eight weekly classes surrounded by stunning panoramic views of London for up to 40 miles. While yogis of past have tried to levitate to higher spheres, in this situation it will be two high-speed lifts that will take attendees to the highest accessible points of The Shard. After enjoying in the breathtaking atmosphere of The View from The Shard, the instructors will guide guests through their calming mind and body yoga class.

In fine weather some classes may take place on the 72nd floor, which is set just below the shards of glass that top the building and is open air, which will just add to the unique experience.

Yogasphere was founded by partners Mandy Jhamat (named “one of the UK’s top yoga teachers” by Marie Claire) and leading Harley Street wellbeing coach Leo Lourdes. As well as running classes and one-on-one sessions across London they host special yoga retreats across the world including in Thailand and Costa Rica.

A programme of eight weekly sessions will start on Saturday 7 June from 8.30am to 9.30am and cost £40 per person per session in advance, spaces are limited and booking is recommended
