New kid on the festival block, South Facing Festival sets up camp at the Crystal Palace Bowl this August with a series of music-filled nights and activity-packed days. And here’s your chance to win a double pass to see a lineup of your choice…

Headliners include Supergrass & The Cribbs, Dizzee Rascal & The Outlook Orchestra, Max Richter, The Streets (sold out) and the English National Opera.

Also on the line up is Kruder & Dorfmeister, Norman Jay MBE, Jane Weaver and Ghetts.

In addition to this, the festival will put on a programme of free midweek things to do and see.

This includes the Crystal Palace International Film Festival which will screen three blockbusters (Disney’s Raya and The Last Dragon, Pixar’s Mulan, Missing Link) and a selection of short animations from around the world. Screenings take place Tuesday August, 10, 17 and 24.

Partnering with Crystal Palace Festival, South Facing Festival will also showcase musicians from Crystal Palace and south London. On Thursday, August 12, DJ Mamasutra, Carmen Marie and Band, The Jenny Hanivers, Andrew Ashong and others will take the stage.

There’s also Afro beat and dub from Brixton, Crystal Palace grime crew About Crw and the South London Youth Orchestra, which will perform Tchaikovsky’s 5th Symphony, and Soho Radio will run radio and podcasting workshops on Wednesday, August 11 and 18, respectively.
