Sports fans rejoice – UEFA Euro 2016 kicks off this weekend as Pop Brixton launches Pop Fields, London’s latest venue for playing, watching and getting involved in this summer’s biggest sporting events

Pop Brixton is launching a new center, Pop Fields, this weekend (10-12 June 2016). The center provides a space to screen live sports games, for the public to play sports and a venue for private hire. Pop Fields launch coincides with the kickoff of EURO 2016, providing an excellent opportunity to watch the games with a fun-loving crowd.

The field has a 4-a-side football, mini-tennis, basketball, and touch rugby surfaces, as well as a large screen to showcase live sports. There will be many summer specials offered from the surrounding Pop Brixton restaurant community, including numerous street food kiosks to provide fresh food  as well as local Brixton brewery setting up shop for the summer nearby.

Pop Fields’ goal is to bring sports and activity to the local community and unite Londoners with a shared appreciation of sports, but it isn’t only for big game days; the center offers local schools and clubs free use of the facilities for tournaments, special events and fitness activities.

Pop Fields has a capacity of 800 and will provide seating for the Euro 2016 screenings. The center will be perfect for upcoming events like Wimbledon, Test cricket, rugby internationals, the Tour de France, The Open and the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Pop Fields will run until the end of September and is open daily from 8am to 9.30pm Monday to Sunday, with longer hours on game days
