This Bright Land festival, Somerset House

Ride on the 35 metre Ferris wheel, cut some shapes at a vogue ball, round up the kids and enjoy a street party, or just head down to Somerset House's courtyard and soak up The Bright Land's atmosphere. Watch weekend takeover performances by creative collectives such as Drag Syndrome, Vogue Rites and Figs in Wigs, or stroll through Jo Malone London's sensory garden. Amongst the hubub, Somerset House's summer festival has plenty of food and drink options, soundscapes and installations as well as beauty pop-ups to discover as well.

The Cadogan Arms Summer Beer Festival, Cheslea

For those of you who don't want to head east to London Craft Beer Festival (read on), Cadogan Arms in Chelsea is putting on a mini beer festival for the week. The mini beer fest boasts 20 brews - five of which will be cask ales - to swash and swill. There are meet the maker sessions and swag bags to take home, and there's also a fully stocked fridge of cans to take home too.

Cocktails in the City, Bloomsbury

The second installment for Cocktails in the City, puts an international twist in your martini glass this weekend. Some of London's best cocktail bars are at the ready to mix up concoctions that taste like a holiday - think margaritas, French-style brandy and cognac cocktails and tiki drinks. There's a selection of food stalls and things like shuffle board, silent discos, masterclasses and tasting sessions as well.

London Craft Beer Festival, Tobacco Dock

Celebrating its 10th birthday, London Craft Beer Festival takes over Tobacco Dock with a showcase of top breweries and a stack of excellent food. More than 100 craft breweries from around the world come together for the festival, which will feature more than 1,000 different brews a alongside a knock-out food line-up from some of London's favourite restaurants and chefs. Tickets include unlimited beer samples and give you entry for either afternoon or evening sessions.

Jurassic Afternoon Tea, South Kensington

The Ampersand Hotel in South Kensington will launch its Jurassic Afternoon Tea for Afternoon Tea Week, which is one for adults and kids. Celebrating Dippy the Dinosaur's homecoming to the nearby Natural Science Museum earlier this year, you've got T-Rex cheese straws, dinosaur jam sandwiches a dark chocolate & caramel dinosaur egg nest and a mixed berries T-Rex footprint macaron, among the dino-themed treats. Adults can try the gin-based Dino Sour or the tequila based T-Rex Mex as well.
