1 Winter Decorative Fair Battersea
The Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair is back with its winter edition, which is a feast for lovers of antiques, design and decorative arts. More than 150 exhibitors take part, including specialist dealers in furniture, lightings, mirrors, textiles and accessories, making the fair the place to discover unusual conversation pieces and one-of-a-kind items, or even just that one piece that pulls a room together. Art galleries also show paintings, prints, sculpture, posters, and beautifully crafted artworks from all eras, and you’ll also find jewellery, vintage bags and watches too.

2 Lit Ice-Skating, Canary Wharf
While most ice-skating rinks have packed down for the the season, Canary Wharf’s outdoor rink doesn’t close until the end of February. Skates with LED lights attached are available to hire until the end of the month, so you can light up your night as you glide about and get creative with your Instagram shots as well. The rink is covered by a glass roof so you can skate whatever the weather, and underneath twinkling fairy lights. When you’ve finished, there’s a wealth of bars and restaurants to recharge in – Mediterranean pizza joint Gallio has recently opened, as has steakhouse Hawksmoor.

3 London International Mime Festival, various locations
Forget about some sad-faced stripy topped-mime trying to escape out of a box, London International Mime Festival showcases some of the best contemporary visual theatre around. And there’s still time to check shows out. The programme features circus and acrobatics, variety shows and performance inspired by Japanese Noh theatre, and dance. Shows are held in venues scattered around town, including the Puppet Barge, Saddler’s Wells and the Barbican.

4 Bettina Campolucci Bordi’s pop-up dinner, Islington
For the vegans amongst us or those who want to eat a little less meat and build up their culinary repertoire, cookbook author Bettina Campolucci Bordi is putting on a plant-based feast at Papermill Studios in Islington. The evening kicks off with a welcome drink, followed by a four-course meal of nibbles, sharing plates for starters and mains, and dessert. Guest will walk away with a full stomach and a plant-based goodie bag with supplies from Clive’s Pies, Hemp Pantry, Odysea, Omnipork, Only Plants and Rude Health.

5 £20 Whole Lobster Lunch at Burger & Lobster, various locations
There’s nothing like a cheap meal to shake those winter blues and Surf and turf experts, Burger & Lobster, have three lunch meal deals to brighten your day. Risk going into a food coma with a whole Noca Scotian Lobster that comes either grilled or steamed, and is served with fries, garlic butter sauce and a salad (£20). Upgrade your lunch sandwich with the Iconic Lobster Roll (£20); a brioche roll stuffed with lobster meat and topped with chives, with a side of fries and garlic butter sauce. Lastly there’s the Nebraskan Beef Burger (£10) in a brioche bun, served with fries.
