Located at The New Craftsmen in Mayfair, The Real Souvenirs of Britain pop-up shop (on until 31st August) allows visitors to see a range of quality crafts and artists from across the UK. Keegan Strandness finds out more
Traditional and quirky British products including commemorative jugs, mugs and pie dishes, 19th century three-legged milk stools and photography of Cumberland and Westmorland wrestling traditions are now on show at a special pop-up event at the New Craftsmen store situated on North Row.
Collectors of craft, design and workmanship can delve through more than 75 of Britain’s finest makers. Featuring an array of contemporary and authentic pieces in ceramics, furniture, silverware, textiles, jewellery, glassware and beyond, the souvenirs are rooted to the regions and traditions of the British Isles.
The Shop will also feature British-inspired workshops, such as a historic woad-dyeing session with local quilt maker Katherine May on 2nd August.
Founded in 2012 in Mayfair, London, The New Craftsmen works to represent a careful selection of products that are deeply connected to the culture. Displaying only the highest quality and craftsmanship, the souvenirs are made to stand the test of time.
The Real Souvenirs of Britain is on now until 31 August. 11am-7pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 11am-6pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
