The Olympic Park’s ArcelorMittal Orbit is joining the world of late-night entertainment with a trio of events to take in the Stratford landmark by dark

On Friday 8th August, it will be hosting an immersive evening of space-themed sounds from musicians and DJs. At 76 metres and 80 metres, the two observation decks, entertainers including Tarkovsky’s Solaris, Sun Ra, Ninja Tune’s DJ Food and synth-folk drone-ballad band Transept, plus a special acoustic set from Astronauts and Manchester’s one man cosmic construct Paddy Steer.

For those who prefer to rave solo, there will be a silent disco on Friday 15th August Revellers can text in requests to the DJ and mix their own playlist as they flick between music channels. Meanwhile, on 22nd August, East London Radio’s (is a social enterprise run by volunteers aged 12 – 71 years) will be holding its official launch party. There will be live DJ sets and a cool chill out area to enjoy the epic twilight views. Tickets are £17.50 and for over 18s only.

At all the events there will be a licensed bar and hot meals available.

ArcelorMittal Orbit Lates will run from 7pm – midnight and are for over 18s only (ID will be required). Tickets are limited so booking is advised – they cost £20 for Arctic Circle’s Space in this Place and £17.50 for the Silent Disco and East London Radio’s Bank Holiday Weekend Party Starter.
