Travellers at St Pancras were greeted by a canine crowd as PetPyjamas lead a ‘pet protest’ to allow dogs to travel on the Eurostar

The Resident:

The number one pet lifestyle destination PetsPyjamas.com recently launched a petition in a bid to allow pets to travel in a designated carriage on the Eurostar, something we recently covered on this very website. With over 3,000 signatures and the number growing every day, PetsPyjamas.com still need as much support as possible to reach the 100,000 signatures needed by 30 September to make change happen and for the petition to be debated by the government. The ‘pet protest’ at St Pancras saw celebrities supporting the campaign, including Leah Waller, Rosie Fortescue, Brix Smith Start, Leo Gregory and Cheska Hull.

PetsPyjamas let pets take the lead at the organised ‘pet mob’ to draw attention to their campaign to allow dogs to travel on Eurostar. Dogs from pugs, boxers and daschunds all wore supporting #PetsToParis bandanas while their owners carried banners and flags to generate as many new signatures as possible and to raise awareness for the campaign.

‘As a dog owner and originally from continental Europe I understand the importance of making it as easy as possible to travel with your dog,’ says Gracia Amico, CEO of PetsPyjamas.com. ‘Travelling by Eurostar would open a whole new holiday opportunity for many dog lovers, but also for the hospitality industry on both sides of the channel.’
