Knightsbridge members’ club opens offering a Tom Kerridge menu

With a terrace overlooking Hyde Park you could spend all day in, food by Tom Kerridge and a casually chic interior, the Pavilion Club in Knightsbridge is likely to pull a crowd that know how to balance work with fun…

Pavilion Club, the established high-end business members’ clubs with  venues already in Kensington and the city, has opened its first private members’ club at 64 Knightsbridge Road. And the venue has a kind of relaxed glamour to it.

Set over six floors, the venue has a serviced club and members’ lounge, two members bars, seventeen private office spaces and one penthouse suite, that combined, offer hot-desking, private work spaces and plenty of opportunities to take five.

The club’s two crowning jewels are its third-floor terrace, offering leafy views of Hyde Park for year-round al-fresco drinking and dining (and it’s available for hire) and a kitchen with Tom Kerridge at the helm.

For his first foray into the members’ club world, the Michelin-starred chef has created a deceptively simple all-day dining menu that is true to his down-to-earth style.

It features accessible dishes made with seasonal produce such as dressed Cornish crab with radish and apple, the pavilion bacon and smoked cheddar burger and a smoked king oyster mushroom masala with coconut naan.

To go with the menu, the wine list boasts drops from small producers  as well as organic and bio dynamic options, and the bar is stocked with craft brews and cocktails.

Pavilion Club plans to balance out working life with comedy nights, spoken word festivals, as well as and Pilates and yoga on the terrace. The terrace is set to host chilled-out DJ sets three nights a week, along with member-only events.

The interiors, designed by Russell Sage Studio, have a laid back art deco feel, created by timber inlays, rattan furniture, mosaic floor tiling and copper and brass touches, in a nod to the building’s first decades of glory.

Originally built for the London & County Bank back in 1884, 64 Knightsbridge Road served as The Danish Club from the 1920s-1990s.
