There is seemingly no end to London’s shopping, as anyone who has ever tread the length of Oxford Street knows well.

Iconic stores such as Selfridges Hamleys, Harrods and Fortnum & Mason have become destinations in their own right, and global, European and British brands – from top fashion houses to hipster labels – have set up home in the capital’s shopping hubs and along its side streets by the bucket load.

Sure, it’s great to be spoilt for choice, but big brands – and the crowds that generally follow – may not be your thing.

For those looking to support small and independent businesses as they pick up the last of the stocking fillers, chutneys and wine, ICON Printing has created a map that highlights just a handful of the stellar independent shops, boutiques, salons and grocers sprinkled around London.

We’ve picked out a few highlights below, but the guide – based on the Tube map has plenty more to offer.
