From Pie’n’Rye cocktails and 12 litre Bloody Marys to salted caramel doughnuts and toffee apples, there’s no better way to celebrate 4th July than with some seriously tasty American cuisine. Here’s where to honour Independence Day in the capital this year

STK London, ME London Hotel, 336-337 The Strand, WC2R 1HA

Lil BRGRs at STK

London’s famous steakhouse is launching a six course beef tasting menu this 4th July. Created by executive chef Barry Vera, it will feature four small dishes – beef ceviche, STK’s signature Lil BRGR, shin of beef ravioli and Asian beef – and that’s just for starters. A 300g USDA sirloin steak is served for main course with a side of parmesan truffle chips and STK sauce. Save room for STK’s playful Taste of the Fairground dessert; candy floss, toffee apples, cookie milkshake, peanut butter and raspberry macarons, salted caramel doughnuts and sweet shop marshmallows. The tasting menu is available for £55 per person for the month of July and £65 thereafter, where it will be on offer for parties of four or more by reservation only.

Diners will be treated to Bloody Mary pitchers, Scotch beef brisket, fancy hot dogs, “le sandwich américain”, the Stars and Stripes cookies, Union macaroons plus music from DJ and model Amber Le Bon at 3pm on Sunday. The brunch menu is available from 10am to 4pm on Saturday and Sunday. The pop-up will be in place from 11am to 8pm from Thursday, 2 until Sunday, 5 July.
