Award-winning film composer Ilan Eshkeri (Stardust, The Young Victoria and David Attenborough’s A Perfect Planet) will transport audiences to the International Space Station in this epic concert. Inspired by space, this breath-taking concert features never-before-seen photos and videos taken by European Space Agency astronauts onboard the International Space Station, including footage by Sir Tim Peake. The Decorative Antiques & Textiles Fair holds it Spring edition in Battersea Park this May. This celebration of pop culture is not just for the serious gamers, comic book collectors or cosplayers. The Curtain Club at Mondrian Shoreditch will host Games of Thrones actor Maisie Williams, and her Frank Film Club (FFC) team for a special series of film screenings and live podcast discussions. Programme highlights include Sound of Metal by Darius Marder and a discussion on the new favourite horror Midsommar. Williams launched the FFC podcast in May last year and along with her co-hosts Hannah Marie Williams, a casting director, and filmmaker Lowri Roberts, she explores the cinematic elements, from dialogue to casting, of box office hits, indie films, and everything in between. The FFC team will host a live discussion on the first and fifth screening. To celebrate the biggest event in the Mexican calendar, temper is putting on a Cinco de Mayo fiesta at their Covent Garden location complete with one off Mexican specials, £5 margaritas and a Mariachi band to really get the party going. London Craft Week returns for its eighth edition with a fresh, London-wide programme. It brings together the work of celebrated and emerging artists, makers and designers, to showcase the best of craftsmanship from around the world. Highlights include a series on events that reframe the sustainability narrative, and exploration of craftmanship within the fashion industry. Small is Beautiful: Miniature Art Exhibition comes to South Kensington showcasing teeny tiny artworks and photographic works from more than 30 international artists. It is a delightfully quirky and playful exhibition in which visitors can immerse themselves in offbeat worlds, of tiny proportions. Watch out for a sculpture of a mother and daughter small enough to fit on the tip of a pencil by Bosnian artist Jasenko Dordevic and London-based photographer Slinkachu‘s installations including one of a serpent attacking a little girl and her mother made from a green shoelace in a puddle.
