Horse racing at Ascot isn’t only about the summer’s Royal Ascot, throughout the year the UK’s most famous race course hosts meets, with world-class race horses taking to the track. This Christmas is no exception, with Ascot holding meets from 19th-20th December 2014

From Friday 19th to Saturday 20th December, Ascot Racecourse is hosting a weekend of horse racing with a festive twist. Along with the excitement of Saturday’s adrenaline-pumping races there will be a programme of activities that will appeal to the whole family. Father Christmas will be making a special appearance at Ascot’s Christmas party, joined by a marching band and The Tootsie Rollers. For those wanting something faster paced, there’s the Christmas themed fairground rides, plus there will be pony rides, face-painting and Christmas crafts all day.

On the track, the crowds will be treated to thrilling jumps racing, the highlight of which is the two-mile £150,000 Ladbroke Handicap hurdle. And to round off the day, join in with the carol singing finale at the Grandstand on the concourse. While adults warm their cockles with a glass of mulled wine, there’s hot chocolate and marshmallows for children.

If you’re looking for the fine-dining hospitality experience associated with Ascot, book a table at one of the racecourse’s many restaurants where you’ll find an amazing selection of fine wines and Champagnes, and indulgent menus.
