Sunday 20 March, Soho’s underground sensation Cahoots will celebrate the 99th birthday of Dame Vera Lynn, the Sweetheart of the British Forces. In memory of post-war 1946, with live music from a Vera Lynn tribute act, cocktails and canapés, it’ll be a fantastic birthday celebration honouring the life of a legend.

Cahoots, in a disused underground tube station, takes guests back in time with late night drinking and dancing. In celebration of Dame Vera Lynn, they will have an authentic Vera Lynn tribute act will entertain throughout the night, and guests can sit in the train carriage enjoying Cahoots’ signature cocktail, the Vera Lynn, made with Bombay Sapphire, ginger wine, lime juice, apple juice, elderflower cordial and pear puree. For every Vera Lynn cocktail bought, £2 will be donated to the Dame of Vera Lynn Trust for Children, to help children with cerebral palsy. Indulgent canapé rations circa 1946 will be available alongside cocktails inside the train carriage.

To this day, Dame Vera Lynn serves as the president of the Dame of Vera Lynn Trust for Children, which she founded in 2001. She has given Cahoots an autographed photo of her herself, which will be on permanent display in the train carriage.
