Tate Britain is giving away two tickets to Walter Sickert's retrospective followed up by lunch at its tea rooms to two lucky readers.

Sickert is recognised as one of the most important artists of the 20th century, having helped shape modern British art.

The former actor had ties to renowned painters including James Abbott, McNeill Whistler and Edgar Degas, and strengthened the artistic connections between Britain and France.

The current exhibition is Tate's first major retrospective of Sickert in more than 60 years and it explores how he had an often radical, distinctive approach to setting and subject matter.

From his beginnings as an actor and artistic apprentice to becoming one of the most gifted artists of his time, the display looks at his evolution of self-portraits and his fascination for all things theatrical.

The exhibition is on until September 18 and Tate Britain are giving you and someone you like the chance to view this impressive collection, for free, and to enjoy a light lunch at the museum's tea rooms, Djanogly Cafe, on them.
