Somerset House has brought the party to central London this August with its jam-packed festival, This Bright Land.

Running August 1 through to August 29, the festival, created by Somerset House Studios artists Gareth Pugh and Carson McColl, promises to turn pack a lot into the venue's open-air courtyard.

There's a 35 metre Ferris wheel you can go for a spin on, and this comes with a soundscape installation that tells you stories from Londoners as you take in the view.

At the weekends, music and performance take over - don't miss Vogue Rites' themed open air Vogue Balls or parties hosted by collectives Daytimers, Nine Nights, ESEA Sisters and Movimientos.

Sundays are for families with all-ages street parties hosted by the likes of Drag Syndrome - a drag collective featuring kings and queens with down's syndrome and performance troupe figs in Wigs.

Partnerships with beauty brands, including Jo Malone London, M.A.C Cosmetics and Bobbi Brown, will combine sensory experiences with wellness, self-care and make-up advice and services.

As you can image, there's a stack of food and and drink options, and as prices start from free, you may as well get involved.

Dates: August 1-29
