Art lovers rejoice, October 2015 is full to the brim with art shows, art fairs and artists’ open studios in London
1. Frieze London
For art lovers, the world-famous contemporary art fair, Frieze London, is well worth a visit this October. Taking place in Regent’s Park from 14 to 17 October, Frieze will showcase art from over 160 leading art galleries, spanning almost 30 countries. Returning for the 13th time, Frieze London 2015 will feature a broad range of exciting, contemporary artworks, and highlights of this year’s fair will include the Sculpture Park, Frieze Talks and Frieze Projects, the celebrated non-profit programme curated by Nicola Lees and supported for the first time by LUMA Foundation. Frieze Masters, a sister art fair that features more historical art, will take place from 14 to 18 October 2015 also in Regent’s Park.

2. Wandsworth Artists’ Open House
For over 12 years, artists in the borough of Wandsworth have opened the doors of their studios to the public as part of Wandsworth Artists’ Open House. This year, over 100 artists – from amateur to professional – will be taking part so, as a visitor, you’ll be able to take a glimpse into the world of a wide array of local artists, craftspeople and designers. You will see a broad range of artworks for sale that suit all budgets and tastes in relaxed settings. Wandsworth Artists’ Open House opens on 3 and 4, and 10 and 11 October.

3. Picture perfect in Putney
Over half of the artists taking part in this year’s Wandsworth Artists’ Open House are based in Putney. A grand total of 68 SW15-based artists will be showcasing their work to art lovers and buyers this October at 36 Putney addresses. It’s a perfect way to meet artists and see the space in which they work, and you’ll be able to buy art direct from the source too. The artists in Putney will show several categories of art including paintings, drawings, photographs, prints, sculpture, jewellery and ceramics. Prices range from £20 up to £10,000, with most under £350. Entry is free.

4. The Affordable Art Fair
Battersea Park will be buzzing from 22 to 25 October as the Affordable Art Fair celebrates its 50th UK edition. The fair, which brings together over 100 contemporary art galleries under one roof, gives serious collectors and first-time buyers the opportunity to browse an eclectic mix of original artworks from over 1,100 living artists. Art at the fair is priced between £100 and £5,000, making it the ideal place to invest in new artists and well-known names.

5. The Other Art Fair
The UK’s leading artist fair returns to the Old Truman Brewery for its tenth anniversary edition from 15-18 October. The Other Art Fair has fast become the satellite arts destination to Frieze London, presenting work by 130 artists from across the globe alongside an action-packed programme of events.
