A unique pop-up pub will open in Shoreditch, dedicated to screening women’s football, and some of the UK Women’s football team will stop by for the launch.

The Lionesses’ Euros 2022 victory supercharged women’s football to new heights, yet, with the world’s biggest football tournament taking place this month in Australia and New Zealand, there are limited places to cheer on the girls on and join in the football fever because matches kick off at breakfast time.

Solving this quandary, the Queen’s Header, in partnership with Just Eat will launch in time to screen the Lioness’ first two matches against Haiti and Denmark in the Women’s World Cup, opening up for the breakfast time matches.

It aims to be a destination for fantastic food, fierce fandom and footballing finesse as well as support grassroot women’s football.

As part of Just Eat’s continued commitment to progressing the women's game, the food delivery company will donate event ticket sales, plus a further £50,000 investment, to its Feed the Game fund, a fund that aims to inspire and encourage more women and girls to play the sport.

As part of the entertainment for special launch event on July 22, Lionesses Fran Kirby and Toni Duggan will include in-game analysis hosted by sports presenter and ex-Love Islander Josh Denzel.

There will also be meet and greet opportunities with the two Lionesses at the launch.

Victoria Gold, UK & Ireland Marketing Director at Just Eat said: “England’s triumph in the 2022 Euros undeniably fuelled appetites for the women’s game. However, the location of this year’s football tournament has resulted in some unfortunate game times for UK fans.

“With The Queen’s Header, we’re recreating the magic of last summer’s Euros, providing a place for people to enjoy and support the women’s game.

“Furthermore, recognising that grassroots is the foundation of football, we want to help make the women’s game even stronger. By providing more financial assistance to help cover rising costs, our Feed the Game fund aims to help keep more women playing the sport they love.”

The pop up will be brief though, running for a week between Saturday, July 22 and Friday, July 28.

Tickets for The Queen’s Header are £5 and include entry and game viewing at the pub, as well as brunch and snacks provided by Just Eat from LEON, JOE & THE JUICE, The Breakfast Club, Greggs and Krispy Kreme.

Tickets for The Queen’s Header are available from EventBrite.
