Summer Sounds is the latest warm weather series that implores you to make the most of these balmy nights.

Music acts of the likes of a David Bowie tribute act, jazz duo Velvet Rose and The Garner Trio will entertain punters every Thursday in August, starting this week on August 4.

Performances happen on Regent Street's pedestrianised foodie quarter Heddon Street and in St James's Market and run from 5pm to 8pm, which could send after work drinks into dangerous territory.

The series is also an opportunity to try some of the top notch restaurants in the area including Sarap Filipino Bistrot, the mostly vegan Tendril and the newly opened Starman pub.

To boot, Regent Street and St James’s gifting ambassadors will be around to pass out vouchers, experiences and actual gifts from participating businesses in the precinct.

Summer Sounds takes place on Thursdays throughout August around Heddon Street and St James's Market from 5pm to 8pm.
