INTRODUCING ESENSUAL LIVING, THE NEW ONLINE SHOP TO KNOW
Good news for interior design fans! There’s a brand new e-commerce site to know about. Described as ‘Net-A-Porter for the home’, esensualliving.com stocks homeware from some of the most sought-after brands around the world
Founded by Anne Line Hansen, previously managing director of Roger Vivier, Giorgio Armani and Chanel, esensualliving.com is all about luxury. With a range of products from international design brands such as Gaia & Gino, Libeco, and Creel and Gow as well as bath, body and home scents from beauty favourites like Green & Spring, it’s set to be a huge hit in the UK.
Following a successful soft launch in France, we spoke to Hansen to find out more about her new online shop…
What can first-time customers expect when they visit Esensualliving.com?
A visually stimulating online experience, focused on telling the story of the brands we sell across product exclusives, limited edition and shoppable film content. In addition, we offer exclusive interviews with leading individuals from the design community.
What makes it different from other online interiors boutiques?
There are two main reasons. On one side, all of our content is produced in house, so we’ve got the originality factor. The second is the curated and contextualised product selection, responding to a market which is claiming less generic product.
The site is already available in France. How will you tailor it to UK customers?
We felt that most quality-driven online consumers were lacking access to unique and contextualised product offering and we hope the UK market will respond well to this.
Who are the emerging interior designers/décor brands to watch out for?
We admire brands such as Teixidors, for their pure design aesthetic and use of organic material. It’s not an interiors brand, but we also love Morpho+Luna – a relatively unknown lounge and sleepwear label. As far as talent goes, we have a huge design crush on Tristan Auer – a sort alchemist of style, who has his own district expression. American French design duo, Champau & Wilde for their ability to create wonderfully chic and modern spaces. We also have our eyes on Philip Joseph, who recently did the beautiful Erdem boutique in Mayfair.
What are your top tips for refreshing a room’s décor without spending a small fortune?
What’s the biggest interiors trend to watch out for this Autumn/Winter?
Luxurious comforting cashmere throws or wallpaper, we particularly love Min Hogg‘s range.
What’s the best way to make a small room feel more spacious?
I recommend keeping it bright and simple, adding a subdued colour range and building from there.
