BARNES HOME ACHIEVES RECORD-BREAKING PRICE

The sale of a £14 million turnkey property in Barnes’ SW13 post code has set a new local property price record, doubling the previous record for the area set in 2014

A seven-bedroom, 14,000 sq ft Palladian-style property, located on the prestigious Queens Ride in a huge plot in the heart of the Barnes Common Conservation Area, has broken local property price records. UK property consultancy Carter Jonas’ Barnes office facilitated the £14 million sale, which eclipses the previous price record of £7,450,000 for a seven-bedroom property on Castelnau in July 2014.

As a turnkey property, Queen’s Ride has been purchased ‘as seen’ and comes complete with utterly bespoke furniture and joinery throughout. The seven bedrooms, five reception rooms and nine bathrooms enjoy an unparalleled specification and are supported by a Savant home automation system.

Key features include a ballroom, swimming pool and spa complex, a carriage drive, underground parking with automatic gates and staff accommodation.

‘Setting a new sales record in Barnes is reflective of a robust buoyancy in the local market as well as further room for growth in the core market around the £1-3million mark,’ says Tom Osborn, head of sales in Barnes for Carter Jonas.

‘Traditionally, buyers at this price point might have erred towards Knightsbridge or Mayfair, but Barnes is firmly cementing itself as a contender to the PCL crown, and we are excited to support further sales in this bracket ongoing.’
