I tried the British themed afternoon tea made by a popular novelty biscuit brand in Central London.

If you ever find yourself in Victoria, you can head over to Biscuiteers in Eccleston Yard, where you can find a wide selection of novelty biscuits, have a go at icing them and take afternoon tea in the setting of the blue and pink themed dining area.

I went with my mum to sample their Great British Afternoon Tea that they are currently hosting.

Featuring a range of sweet treats served on traditional Blue Cornishware, it's one that would be well suited to anyone with a more traditional side.

Sandwiches included classics like smoked salmon and cream cheese, cheese and fig chutney, ham and truffle, and cucumber and cream cheese.

All of the sandwiches were very good, but the cheese and fig was definitely one of my favourites, with a really deliciously sweet chutney.

You can also choose from a good selection of classic teas, which are unlimited, including English Breakfast, Earl Grey, Chamomile and Rose.

We were also served freshly baked scones with a rhubarb jam along with cream, before moving on to sweets.

What I really like about this afternoon tea was the variety of flavours the sweet treats had from fruity to chocolate.

Fruity treats included a coconut and mango mousse cake served with coconut cremeux and mango curd, coconut dacquoise and chocolate glaze, and a rhubarb and strawberry crumble made with tonka which was actually my favourite out of all the treats.

We also tried more richer indulgent flavours like the chocolate and hazelnut praline bar with smooth jivara chocolate mousse and a raspberry and pistachio choux.

Finally, we finished off with a strawberry and champagne macaron, and a handmade biscuit in the signature Dove logo.

This afternoon tea with its relaxed setting and classic feel would make a great afternoon tea for a celebration for birthdays, hen parties and even mothers-to-be.

The Great British Afternoon Tea is priced at £45 a person, or £52.50 if you want to add a glass of Prosecco, or £68 if you want to add biscuit decorating.
