The resident’s top picks
Flat Iron Square, London Bridge
Flat Iron Square always goes large for the Six Nations, and this year it has actually transformed itself into six nations, with a traditional English pub, Dublin’s Temple Bar, the Scottish Highlands, an Italian Trattoria, the Welsh Stadium and a French carriage. Andy Goode and special guests will be commentating live on the action on 2, 8 Feb & 14 Mar, and as well as screening all the games – including the women’s games – the Southwark venue is hosting darts tournaments, Six Nations quizzes and treats galore to really get into the rugby spirit. Free entry.

Brigadiers x Guinness Match Day Experience, the City
Brigadiers, the Indian barbecue, beer, whisky and live sports venue, has teamed up with Guinness to create a Six Nations Match Day Experience with a menu featuring dishes like Venison Nargisi Kofta, South Indian Pork Cheek & Prawn Biryani, Tandoori Rump Steak, and Brigadiers Butter Chicken Pot Pie (£30pp). The Guinness Butler Service returns too – for £25pp, your butler will keep the Guinness flowing throughout the match to ensure you never have an empty glass. Available every Six Nations weekend from 1 February-14 March. The Lunch with a Legend series also returns, where you can watch the games live while enjoying a three-course lunch with beer pairings, hosted by Ed Jackson, who will be joined on 7 February by Jason Robinson, and Jamie Heaslip on 21 February (£100pp).

Pergola Olympia, Pergola Paddington and The Prince in West Brompton
Sister venues Pergola Olympia, Pergola Paddington and The Prince will be decked out from 1 February with huge screens for the Six Nations 2020. Each venue has a huge bar to grab a drink, including fresh beer from Six Nations partner Camden Town Brewery, as well as onsite street-food vendors. Plus, The Prince and Pergola Olympia will be serving brunch with the games from resident restaurant Wildcard, and if you want to make that brunch bottomless, head for Pergola Olympia or Pergola Paddington. The sharing tables and large capacities at each of the three huge venues create a great match-day atmosphere, with all sites fully covered and heated.

Greenwood, Redwood & Westwood, Victoria, London Bridge & Shepherd’s Bush
Greenwood Sports Pub & Kitchen in Victoria has spawned a couple of sister pubs over the last year – Redwood in London Bridge and Westwood in Shepherd’s Bush. Big on sport, they each have plenty of screens and are aiming to make your match day special with a £5 entry fee that guarantees you entry and also includes a free pint of Guinness. There’s also a good range of food and beers to keep you going while you enjoy the match, and packages available for groups of eight or more.

The Ruby Rogue @ The Alfred Tennyson, Belgravia
If you and your friends are serious about the rugby, why not hire The Ruby Rogue – an upmarket take on a traditional Irish bar in the loft of the The Alfred Tennyson pub? Available to hire for private screenings, you can organise with the events team to have it catered to your every whim. Meanwhile, downstairs in the main pub, they will be screening every match with burgers and beers aplenty.

Where better to enjoy the excitement of the Guinness Six Nations than at England’s home of rugby, Twickenham Stadium? Not all matches are being screened, but you can watch ENG v SCO on multiple screens in the Clubhouse Bar & Kitchen on 8 February (tickets are £20 including a burger & chips and live music for an hour after the final whistle), or how about watching the big games live at the stadium? England plays Ireland at Twickenham on 23 February, and then there’s England v Wales on 7 March.
