Nour festival, which celebrates the best in contemporary Middle Eastern and North African arts and culture, is returning to the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea this October

Now in its fifth year, the hugely varied festival explores a range of genres including music, film, food, exhibitions, talks and dance. It runs this year from 20 October-30 November.

Growing year-on-year, the event now has 32 partners, and new names confirmed for this year include the Royal College of Music, the Finborough Theatre, the Electric Cinema and the Royal Geographical Society.

Festival highlights will include the popular Algerian singer Souad Massi at the Royal Albert Hall, food events curated by chef and author Anissa Helou at Portobello Road Market, and the first UK exhibition by the Tunisian artist Nadia Kaabi-Linke at the Mosaic Rooms.

It also includes ‘Zoom in Yemen’ a short film competition, which showcases new Yemeni film-making talent and is organised in association with the British Council.
