Bake Off winner Nadiya Hussain joins London’s top chefs as Foodies Festival Christmas returns to East London’s Truman Brewery this November
London’s biggest food festival enjoyed another successful tour this summer, and now the three-day feast is about to get a festive makeover.
Foodies Festival Christmas will return to The Truman Brewery for the second year from 27 – 29 November. The event will bring the capital’s top chefs, award-winning artisan producers and international street food together under one roof for a weekend of festive cookery demonstrations and shopping.
Nadiya Hussain, the 2015 Great British Bake Off winner, is sure to be a popular face at the show. She will be joined by her fellow contestant and Bake Off finalist Ian Cumming as well as acclaimed chefs Ben Tish from Salt Yard, Will Stayner from Savoy Grill, Paul Shearing from Bread Street Kitchen and Stefano De Costanzo & Davide Degiovanni from Union Street Cafe.
This year’s Artisan Christmas Market will include stalls from over 150 of the finest UK producers as well as a vegan area packed with healthy vegan, veggie and gluten-free treats.
Gin lovers should look out for the London Gin Theatre where small batch gin producers will host daily Christmas Gin Cocktail masterclasses, while budding bakers can pick up tips from Nadia and co in the Cake & Bake Theatre.
Stocked with cuisines from around the world, the Street Food Courtyard is not to be missed and visitors under 12 can enjoy gingerbread men and cookie decorating classes at the Elf Cookery School.
Foodies Festival will open at 12pm on Friday 27 November. Tickets are available at www.foodiesfestival.com. Adult day tickets start at £15.00, VIP tickets start at £35.00 (including a glass of bubbly and access to VIP lounge).
