In partnership with the London Design Festival, Belgravia’s leading galleries, antiques dealers and fashion boutiques are taking part in Designed in SW1 – a week-long series of demonstrations, workshops and masterclasses
The London Design Festival returns from 19-27 September and is set to be bigger and better than ever. From 100% Design to the Design Junction exhibit, there are a number of exciting events happening across the capital, Belgravia included.
To coincide with this year’s festival, Designed in SW1 will kick off on 19 September, when Pimlico Road and Elizabeth Street will welcome food stalls, live music and art demonstrations.
Some of the area’s most exclusive stores will also open their doors to showcase their latest products and offer home design tips during workshops. Highlights include a two-hour flower arrangement class at Wild at Heart, late night shopping and live window displays at Linley, a live upholstery demonstration at Howe and a calligraphy demonstration at HR stokes.
A pop-up gallery featuring works from Tracey Emin, Gordon Cheung and Jenny Holzer will also be launched at 57 Pimlico Road and on the food front, local restaurants The Thomas Cubitt and The Orange will be serving a ‘design’ inspired pudding – Dulcey Ganache, blackberries & rose marshmallows.
