The Kensington hotel partners with the Royal Albert Hall as part of the Doyle Collection’s new Slice of the City package, which allows culture vultures to get the most out of a trip to London
The new partnership between The Kensington and the Royal Albert Hall will allow culture aficionados to extend their experience beyond the stalls. For fans of live classical music, rock, pop, jazz and ballet, or even cabaret, it’s sure to go down a treat.
The first exclusive overnight package, Night at the Circus with The Kensington and Royal Albert Hall, includes an overnight stay, two tickets to Cirque du Soleil’s Amaluna production, a complimentary programme and a gift per person. In addition, guests will enjoy a pre-show two course dinner for two at the Royal Albert Hall’s decadent Coda Restaurant, with wine and dessert served during the interval.
Showing until 26 February, Amaluna is one of the most successful shows in Cirque du Soleil’s 20-year UK history, and features two brand new acts: a mesmerising performance from Unicycles and the astonishing Banquine, who will present the highest ever stunt performed without safety harnesses. Prepare for a tale of castaway romance, plus mind-blowing acrobatics.
The partnership reinforces The Kensington’s reputation as one of London’s foremost cultural retreats, and the high ceilings and heritage décor of the hotel evoke the very same Victorian grandeur as the Royal Albert Hall itself.
Combine all of that with a continuing association with the Victoria & Albert museum and proximity to the Natural History Museum, Science Museum and the Royal College of Art, and you have the perfect base from which to explore all the wonderful events and institutions this pocket of London has to offer – from fine art to shopping or gastronomy.
The Night at the Circus with The Kensington and Royal Albert Hall package is available from £340 per night, including an overnight stay, dinner and Cirque du Soleil tickets for two. See doylecollection.com
