In celebration of the famous book set within this unique London destination near Covent Garden, Seven Dials is launching a secret book trail, where shoppers are invited to discover one of the 90 books hidden around the area’s seven interconnecting streets to pick up and keep – for free. For clues on where and when the books are hidden, follow @7DialsLondon on Twitter and Instagram.
To celebrate the area’s important part in the novel, British artist Iona Rowland has been commissioned by Seven Dials to create an exclusive public work of art, currently being exhibited on a billboard on Shorts Gardens.
The dramatic large-scale artwork draws influence from and features the legendary author, while incorporating the contemporary, colourful characteristics she is renowned for. Rowlands’ exclusive print will be on display until Spring 2019 and then auctioned for a charity partner.
