SANTA’S GROTTO FOR GROWN-UPS RETURNS TO CANARY WHARF

A Santa’s Grotto for grown-ups arrived in Canary Wharf for a couple of days in November, and now it’s back, complete with ‘Hip Nic’ – a more fashion forward, culturally connected and health conscious Saint Nicolas – plus a bar and a DJ

Research commissioned by Canary Wharf reveals that over a third of Londoners (36%) miss believing in Santa, and so the Canary Wharf Group decided to bring their grown-up Santa’s Grotto back.

Open on Thursday 15 and Friday 16 December 2016 from 12pm-3pm, the festive pop up will feature music from a live DJ, free Aperol Spritz for shoppers and Hip Nic – a stylish, contemporary St Nicholas, played by Parisian hipster and model, Philippe Dumas.

Hip Nic can solve all your gift-buying woes (and get you tipsy)

With further research showing that 29% of Londoners start to think about their Christmas shopping a fortnight or less before the big day, and that 70% of the city’s residents don’t get as excited about Christmas as they used to, the pop up returns in perfect time.

But fear not, those Peter Pans among us, Hip Nic will be hanging out with in Jubilee Place Shopping Mall from 12-3pm, soothing stressed-out shoppers with free Aperol Spritz, live music courtesy of his helpful little DJ elf and the chance to grab a very Instagrammable selfie with young St Nic. Once you’re in the festive spirit, take advantage of Canary Wharf’s 300 shops, restaurants and bars.

Hip Nic will be available on a first-come, first-served basis for free. See canarywharf.com
