Harrods chose London Fashion Week to launch its new Shoe Heaven with its shoe partner Kurt Geiger. The cocktail party, which took place yesterday to celebrate what is now the world’s largest shoe destination, saw famous names like Suki Waterhouse, Dominic Cooper, Edie Campbell, Otis Ferry, Jourdan Dunn, George Lamb, Jack Guinness, Manolo Blahnik, Charlotte Dellal, Nicholas Kirkwood, Sandra Choi and Rupert Sanderson attend.
Hosted on the fifth floor Shoe Heaven, guests sipped Louis Roederer Champagne in the plush boutique’s art-deco inspired surroundings. Mark Ronson was on the decks, while a troop of dancing girls dressed in fabulous silver Christian Louboutin heels brought added glamour to the party. Heavenly Old Fashioneds and Dirty Martinis were served from classic cocktail trolleys and the icing on the lavish party’s cake were the canapés: alba white truffle risotto cubs, Brancaster lobster with tarragon and bisque dressing, and mini dark chocolate s’mores.
To celebrate the launch of Shoe Heaven, Harrods showcased a limited-edition “Silver Lining” collection of 37 of today’s most iconic shoes in silver – created exclusively for Harrods by designers including Valentino, Manolo Blahnik, Roger Vivier, Christian Louboutin, Rupert Sanderson, Charlotte Olympia and Kurt Geiger.
