In a rare break from her training for the forthcoming Olympics in Rio, Olympic and world heptathlon champion Jessica Ennis-Hill celebrated with athletes and celebrities at a dinner hosted by international watch brand OMEGA on 27 April, marking 100 days to go to Rio.

Reflecting on the journey ahead of her to Rio, Jessica Ennis-Hill, brand ambassador for OMEGA, said, ‘I am really looking forward to competing at Rio – it has been a roller coaster of emotions and physical challenges since the London Olympic Games but I have always had Rio as my next goal.

‘I have worked with OMEGA for six years now, and their role at the Olympic Games is an essential service to the athletes. The first thing I do when I finish a competition is look for the OMEGA clock. It is great to celebrate 100 days to go with them and experience a taste of Rio.’

Jessica was joined by Mark Foster, Marlon Devonish and Christian Malcolm as well as Anna Friel, Camilla Rutherford and Gethin Jones at Sushi Samba. The guests got a taste of what’s in store in at the Olympics in Rio with performances from carnival dancers and an eight-piece samba band.
