London Cocktail Week returns this week for another epic celebration of the capital’s best mixologists. Alongside the fabulous London Cocktail Week Village at Old Spitalfields Market, which has 40 pop-ups serving up unique cocktails, The Resident picks out the 5 best London Cocktail Week experiences across the capital…
1 ROKA’S Cocktail Tour of Japan
Take a journey through Japanese drinking culture by visiting each of ROKA’s four London restaurants (Canary Wharf, Aldwych, Charlotte Street and Mayfair). When ordering the limited-edition cocktail you’ll be given an ‘ingredient’. Travel to all four restaurants, sampling specialist spirits from around Japan including Nikka Whisky from Hokkaido, Nikka Coffey Gin from Sendai, Ryoma Rum from Shikoku and Akashi-Tai Sake from Akashi, and collect all four ingredients to receive a special gift – the Samurai Vessel! Get a £10 digital LCW pass and enjoy each Japanese cocktail for £6.
2 JägerBrunch at Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen
Jägermeister is making its debut at the London Cocktail Week Village this year, but what we’re most looking forward to is the JägerBrunch at Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen on Saturday 7 October. Teaming with the talented former JägerMusic artist and chef, Dale Evans, the Jäger-inspired brunch will see a modern German feast accompanied by Jägermeister serves matched to each dish. Tickets are £15 per person.

3 Chillies & Spice with World of Zing at Ham Yard Hotel
Join Pritesh Mody from World of Zing at Ham Yard Hotel for a Ketel One Vodka Bloody Mary masterclass on Thursday 5 October. Under the guidance of Pritesh, build your own Bloody Mary, just as you like it, with a variety of spices and garnishes from the garden and from the World of Zing’s ingredient closet and engage in a heated discussion on chillies and how best to use them in drinks and cooking. 4 The Bombay Sapphire Terrace at Wright Brothers Spitalfields
The Market Terrace at Wright Brothers Spitalfields has undergone a Bombay Sapphire transformation for London Cocktail Week. The Bombay Sapphire Terrace, with a market-side entrance next to the hub of London Cocktail Week, is a hidden oasis where you can discover four different gin cocktails paired with Wright Brothers’ famous seafood. Each small plate – think oysters, scallops and tigers prawns – is designed specially to enhance the flavour of the botanicals contained in Bombay Sapphire gin.

5 Tequila & Mezcal Fest at the Old Truman Brewery
Mezcal is having a moment, so get involved with the Tequila & Mezcal Fest at the Old Truman Brewery over the weekend of 7-8 October. We’re particularly looking forward to the The Perfectionists Garden, a speakeasy tequila cocktail bar with Patrón, where the Berkeley’s expert bartender, Andrea Melis, will be shaking things up all weekend. Mezcal, FYI, is any distilled spirit made from the agave plant, as opposed to tequila, which can only be made from the Blue Agave and has an internationally recognized Denomination of Origin. Tickets are £20 per session (a percentage of each ticket sale will go towards the Mexican earthquake relief efforts).
