5 EASTER ACTIVITIES FOR KIDS IN & AROUND DULWICH

From a comedy magic show at The Ivy House to theatre workshops and a traditional Easter egg hunt at the Horniman Museum, here are five ways to keep the kids entertained in and around Dulwich during the Easter holidays

1 Easter Crafts Morning at Wigwam
Join the lovely folk at the Wigwam Toy Shop in West Dulwich for a morning of making Easter themed crafts and cards (pictured above). The Dulwich Bakery will be supplying eager Easter bunnies with Easter cupcakes to enjoy too! Parents are invited to stay and enjoy the fun at the free event with their kids. 19 March, 10am-12pm.

2 Easter Comedy Magic Show at The Ivy House
Expect puppets, comedy and laughter at The Ivy House’s Family Easter Comedy Magic Show, starring Klassy & Amigo’s Magic, aka David Klass and Simon Roselli. Meet Fluffy the Rabbit, see the Easter Rabbit and one ‘lucky’ member of the audience will even be ‘cut in half’! 28 March. 1-3pm and 4-6pm.

3 Multi-Sports and Mini Games at JAGS Sports Club
Any kids taking part in JAGS Sports Club’s popular Multi-Sports & Mini Games or Soccer Club courses this Easter will be eligible for the wrap-around service. Perfect for working parents, the wrap-around service enables you to drop off the kids at 8am and pick them up at 5.30pm. They will be well looked after, with a bit of down-time colouring in and playing board games either side of their sporting activities. Parents should pack food and drinks. Priced £4 per hour per child (book ASAP as places are limited).

4 Easter Fair at the Horniman Museum & Gardens
Hop around the Gardens with the Horniman Bunny, go on an Easter Egg trail, take part in creative workshops and discover what’s in the museum’s arts and crafts market. On Saturday, you can also visit the Farmers’ Market for seasonal produce and enjoy tasty food, drink, and more. Entry is free. Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 March, 10.30am-4.30pm.

5 Stage Coach’s Easter Theatre Workshop
Stage Coach Theatre Arts Schools will be running its annual Easter Workshop for 4-7 year olds at the Michael Croft Theatre at Alleyns School in Dulwich from Monday 4 April to Friday 8 April 2016. Running from 9.30am to 12.30pm each day, the children will make new friends during their full schedule of rehearsals before show time at on Friday evening! Costumes, lighting and sound equipment will all be provided. The cost of the course is £150 (£125 for siblings). No previous experience is required.
