Small Luxury Hotels of the World, which has over 520 hotels in more than 70 countries, has added six new hotels to its happy family this year. Dan Luddington, Director of Development, reveals what makes each hotel stand out

Le Barthélemy, St Barths (opening December 2014)
The highly anticipated opening of the first SLH property in St Barths is already creating a buzz. Stunningly located on the lagoon of Grand Cul de Sac and against the volcanic island backdrop, the hotel will offer guests a casual yet elegant environment in which to enjoy the perfect holiday, whether that’s trying their hand at kitesurfing, floating in the infinity edge pool, or relaxing in the zen-infused spa. Archipelagos Hotel, Mykonos (now open after refurbishment)
This delightfully traditional hotel is located on one of the longest stretches of beach on the island, Kalo Livaldi beach. The new interior was designed by the architect Dimitris Tsitsos and reflects traditional Cycladic design with cool creams and dreamy blues. The prestigious restaurant is located in a shaded patio where diners can enjoy gourmet Greek cuisine whilst looking out over Kalo Livaldi Bay. Guests can venture to Mykonos town for a taste of the mythological culture, or simply relax in the soothing spa where they can drift into bliss with tailor-made treatments to suit every guest.’

Boheme Hotel, Mykonos (now open)
The recently opened luxurious Boheme Hotel is a soothing oasis with light interiors and contemporary fittings. The rooms are decorated with a ‘boho’ design; quirky lighting and contemporary furniture give a retro feel to the property. The Sanchaya, Indonesia (opening August 2014)
The Sanchaya oozes serenity and luxury and with neutral colours and indulgent fabrics, the hotel is a comforting paradise. Domaine de Manville, France(opening July 2014)

Casa del Mar Mykonos, Greece (reopened 25 April 2014)
