Even if you’re not in the market for a beauty treatment, the plush nostalgic interior is worth a look at regardless.

With a sophisticated retro nod to the Salon’s former 1982 design, Sparcstudio Design (an award-winning studio with a focus on luxury spa and wellness design) fitted out the luxury department store’s beauty quarters with glossy peach marble, cream stone counters, powder-pink walls and finished it off with gold touches.

It’s the salon of your and your favourite Peaches n Cream Barbie’s childhood dreams. Only way, way better.

The Hairdressing Rotunda features stations along a curved central seating area which emulates the original 1982 design, creating both a sense of old-world glamour and privacy.

The Backwash Room is inspired by the traditional Japanese head spa rituals that the Harrods team discovered in Tokyo and has soft ambient lighting ans calming music.

The room also has fully extending backwash beds so you can actually lie down while getting a head massage.

Hair extensions, cuts, waxing, massages, body wraps and eyebrow treatments are all on offer. As are mani-pedis, of course.

Along with the extensive treatment menu, Harrods Hair & Beauty Salon has partnered up with a huge range of powerhouse brands – Sarah Chapman, Philip Kingsley and Aromatherapy Associates to name three.

Open Monday to Saturday 11am -7pm, Sunday 11.30am -6pm; located on the 5th floor; 87-135 Brompton Rd,  SW1X 7XL; harrods.com
