In homage to the old New Year New You saying, January see Harrods host a beauty take-over with its luxury beauty brands designing the iconic shop windows, the launch of a new Hammam in Urban Retreat and masterclasses taking place in the beauty halls

Throughout January, Harrods beauty halls will be helping shoppers find their new look for the New Year with a series of masterclasses taking place in its beauty halls. Between Wednesday 21 and Sunday 25 January, customers can visit Sensai for an Extra Intensive Saho Facial Experience and an exclusive preview of the brand’s new CP Extra Intensive Range. Dolce and Gabbana will be hosting private consultations with facialist Theresa Horgen and in the Beauty Apothecary, Anne Semonin will be unveiling its latest beauty brands for the first time at Harrods. Plus Clarisonic will showcase its newest face brush, the Aria – Year of the Sheep.

Men aren’t left out. In Harrods’ gentlemen’s salon The Refinery Dermalogica is hosting skin mapping sessions and advising on treatments, while Crème de la Mer will be also giving consultations.

From Monday 19 to Friday 23 January, a different luxury sportswear brand will host a fitness class on the Fifth Floor, with experts dishing out tips for a healthy 2015. Glofaster will kick-start the week with a spin class on 19 January, followed by Technogym’s resistance training class on 20 January, Lucas Hugh’s ballet barre lesson on 21 January and then Sweaty Betty’s yoga classes on 22 and 23 January.

Once you’ve worked up a sweat, refuel in Harrods’ Food Hall with purifying juices, vegetable smoothies and organic teas. Then head up to the Second Floor Cookshop, where Vitamix, Sage, Kuvings and Wüsthof will be giving healthy-eating demonstrations, and up one more flight to the Third Floor where health checks will be available and brands will show-off their latest wearable technology for health and fitness.

Meanwhile, Harrods’ Urban Retreat welcomes the launch of its new Moroccan Hammam. The new female-only spa will practice the traditional cleansing and detoxifying rituals of the Moroccan Hammam, which involves three different rooms. The first is a warm room, which is used to acclimatise your body to the heat of the next room, where the temperature rises and a therapist carries out a cleansing and bathing ritual, before you go to the relaxing lounge for a cup of Moroccan tea.

SK-II has designed a t’ai chi-inspired shop window at Harrods

To round-off the celebrations, 23 luxury beauty brands have designed the iconic store’s windows. Inspired by sport, brands like La Prairie have created a snowy mountain scene with miniature skiers, SK-II, Harrods exclusive beauty brand, has opted for t’ai chi as its inspiration and presented sculpted figures standing under an oversized cherry blossom tree, and another window will represent the new Hammam with lattice screens and enormous taps.
