Taking a fun approach to fitness, Frame is one of London’s leading studios, and Monday 5 September 2016 saw the opening of its fifth outpost – a dedicated yoga studio in the heart of King’s Cross

Granted, yoga is probably not the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Frame. Since the flagship Shoreditch studio opened in 2009, Frame has garnered a cult following thanks to its energetic, feel-good classes – 80s aerobics, HIIT, Beyoncé dance workshops: you name it, they have it, but they’ve also got a pretty impressive yoga offering.

What sets Frame yoga apart is the lack of pretention – nobody here takes themselves too seriously, which makes it ideal for those just starting out. The idea behind the new studio is to welcome beginners with a fun, upbeat atmosphere, while also providing advanced practice for more seasoned yogis, such as the Rocket and Power classes.

It really is the best of both worlds, with a selection of London’s top instructors including new faces Annie Clarke, of the celebrated Mind Body Bowl blog, and Emily Clare-Hill, whose dynamic Vinyasa Flow classes are a personal favourite.

The space itself is bright and spacious, with three changing areas and an ultra-cool Frame twist in the form of House of Hackney palm tree wallpaper – making it all the more Instagrammable when you finally get that handstand on-point. There are no showers in the studio, but you simply need to nip round the corner to Frame King’s Cross, where you can also order juices and smoothies to be delivered to the yoga studio after class – the Full of Beans smoothie is a must after an early morning class.

Last but not least, there will be a series of weekend workshops including inversions, backbends and even acro-yoga, for those feeling adventurous. All memberships are valid, excluding Queens Park and Victoria founding membersships, or you can use your Frame Card Credit to buy classes. There is also a new unlimited yoga membership, priced at £89 per month, which is valid at all locations.
