Ruyi Lifestyle, a new activewear brand made in England that bridges the gap between sports luxe and ready-to-wear, is offering one lucky The Resident reader the chance to win an outfit
Ruyi Lifestyle products embody a strong wellbeing philosophy, whereby the garments are made to make you feel good – Ruyi means ‘as your heart desires’, derived from a Chinese Buddhist philosophy. Yet they are hardwearing, with stretch fabrics offering perfect muscular compression, which decreases muscular vibrations and strain and improves athletic performance. The regenerated, 100% recyclable fabrics fabrics are also eco-friendly.
All products are made in London and Cornwall with high-quality fabrics that are resistant to pilling, abrasions, chlorine, sun creams and oils. The more ready-to-wear pieces are created with luxury Italian fabrics, making them perfect for both inside and outside of the gym.
‘We wanted to move away from the over sexualisation of sportswear to provide something that was a bit softer, calmer yet cool,’ said Ruyi Lifestyle founder, Abi Imasekha.
The unique nature-inspired ocean print, along with the cool design of the marble print, both give a sense of beauty and purity to the garments. For the simpler designs, the monochrome and grey pieces give the look a minimalist and modern edge.
Products from the current range are stocked online at ruyilifestyle.com, as well as their permanent retail space at Ride Republic in Fulham, with prices starting at £80 for the black crop top.
