When the twins were babies I use to wish away every single stage, thinking that if they could just roll/sit/wean/hold a toy it would be that bit easier. The truth is none of it is ever easier. When people use to come up to me and tell me how ‘lucky’ or ‘blessed’ I was to have twins I would just smile politely but the truth was I exhausted and overwhelmed. And then this morning as I watched them brushing their teeth independently I feel sad that those baby days are gone and wish I’d try to enjoy them a bit more (but I am grateful for a full nights sleep) #hindsightisawonderfulthing #twins
