The Quay Club sounds like a spa you might find in Monte Carlo. It looks a like one too – floor-to-ceiling windows offering views over the water, a glossy infinity pool, a huge jacuzzi, boutique fitness studios, the latest gym equipment, a couple’s treatment room, high-spec cinema room and a 56th floor private members’ lounge with roof terrace.
But this is not Monte Carlo, it’s Canary Wharf. And it’s not a members club, it’s E14’s latest, tallest, most dazzling residential tower.

South Quay Plaza – located by the waters of South Dock, just a few steps from South Quay DLR station – has been designed to offer tranquillity and opportunities to wind down while living among the buzz of the business district.
As well as the development’s 2.6 acres of landscaped leafy green space, sleek communal areas have been designed by interiors firm DAPA, with furnishings designed in the UK in a soothing colour palette of Prussian blues and Rusty reds with flourishes of brass and walnut.
The fitness facilities, managed by Antidote, include a gymnasium with Technogym cardio machines, free weights, stretching areas and regular fitness classes – both in-person and online at-home classes – an impressive double-height 20m swimming pool with views, bookable spa and beauty treatment rooms, plus appointments with physiotherapists and osteopaths.
Up in that private members’ lounge on the 56th floor, the spacious roof terrace – one of the highest in Europe – even has a bookable BBQ so that you can wow your guests on summer evenings.

London-born sustainable craft beer company Hiver is also on board, and both drinks partners will offer drinks packages, tutored tastings and exclusive early access to events, including Hiver’s sell-out beekeeping experiences in south east London. Humble Grape will also run the SQP wine club.
When complete, South Quay Plaza, which is made up of three towers, will provide more than 1,300 new studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments and penthouses. Shared Ownership properties are also available and – importantly – all residents will use the same entrance to the building.
A number of apartments in the first building, Valiant Tower are ready for occupation with some residents already moved in. The development’s next phase, Harcourt Gardens, is due to launch later this year.
South Quay Plaza is just 500m from Canary Wharf underground station, with a new footbridge due to connect the development to Canary Wharf Crossrail station, where the Elizabeth Line will become operational in 2022, in under four minutes.
Prices start from £835,000 for a one-bedroom apartment.
